51 taps, two minutes from Dam Square
You are probably standing on the Rokin, the Dam or the Spui right now, looking for a beer. Walk to Rokin 84, turn into the Enge Kapelsteeg, the narrow alley beside the building, and the door is on your left. Down the stairs is a 19th-century cellar with 51 taps and a kitchen that is still open.
What is on: Dutch and Belgian breweries, a rotating guest tap, and the classics for whoever wants one. The full list is on the wall; the bartender will tell you which three are worth your evening.
No reservation needed: Walk in, find a stool, order at the bar. If you are with more than (eight) people, send us a message first.
Hungry too? The kitchen does Dutch bar food until (22:00).
Bitterballen, a burger, loaded fries or.. Yes, mustard. Yes, soup. Trust us! Perfect with our Lagerhuys Blond beer brewed by Brouwerij ‘t IJ.
